The backgrounds are detailed when needed and creates the atmosphere of the scenes perfectly. I think the art is as pretty as can be, and you can see that Tanemura-Sensei has put in effort to make the characters look as close to the original designs as she can whilst retaining her style. I used to eagerly wait for volumes of the Chinese version of “Full Moon o Sagashite” to come out here in Hong Kong during my middle school years. Some of her shoujo manga (manga created for teenage girls, as opposed to manga created with teenage boys as the target audience called shounen manga ) include “Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne” (Or “Phantom Thief Jeanne”), “Time Stranger Kyoko” and “Full Moon o Sagashite”. Now, for those of you who don’t know who Tanemura-Sensei is, she is a very popular mangaka in Japan. I got this manga a few months earlier and I didn’t think much before I ordered it when I found out that Arina Tanemura-Sensei was doing the adaptation of this manga version. So I was reading this manga without prior knowledge of the plot at all.

I would recommend this manga to anyone who likes Frozen I and II as it is a pretty and elegant addition to the franchise. All in all, I think that Tanemura-Sensei successfully and elegantly delivers this poignant tale with her own magic. Considering there is no way to include music in a manga, I think the artwork and mood of it makes up for the lack of the blockbuster music that is in the movie version. The gowns, dresses, and costumes on the characters are really pretty (Reusing this word for lack of a better word…Haha…) and you can see how Tanemura-Sensei has poured her heart into making the characters look good. The inking is meticulous and you can see each stroke that shapes the drawings. The panelling is spot on and the story flows naturally.
